Hot Saws and Fuel Consumption

Has anyone ever done a comparison of fuel consumption between a modified saw (ported, open muffler, etc.) and the stock version? Any observations or comments?

Although being somewhat hard to check my mileage I will say that my modified saws all consume way more fuel than its stock version and this goes from my smallest saw all the way through to the V8. I have never been one to worry about mileage though just give me more power.
