How can you tell if it’s a “Special”

I have a Husqvarna 42. I heard that it was a Special when I got it.
But the sticker is missing on the recoil.
Did the top cover say 42 Special as well?
Or is there a way of telling by the Serial number?
The service manual doesn’t really give much difference in the parts.
