We had some tree work done a few years back. A couple weeks after, I remember finding 3 of those combination tools laying in random spots in the yard, one of them was pretty well worn out..

The 051 has a 10 mm stud and the bar nut uses a 17mm wrench

Quite a few of the top-handle saws use the 16mm spark plug. One scrench that I have is a 16mm x 19mm. It's surprising how much I pick that tool up and use it.

a lawn mower dealer near me had a big jar full of those little screwdrivers on the counter, I thought they were free, no way, he wanted 6.50 each!

I bought a 12-pack of gen-u-wine Stihl tuning screwdrivers on ebay for about $12, your dealer's gouging the s-word outta you.

That exact box, is 7.99 on eBay. I have bought them as give aways with any customer......they are a nickel.....

Every time I go to the dealer, I help myself to 1or2. They are in a grab box on the counter... The little orange driver or the L-shaped t27

I usually paint mine blaze orange.

I seem to come up with some that don/t fit anything. (close but no cigar)

I have a bucket full of old cheap china sockets, mm and standard and I quite often braze a socket onto a odd ball scrench that don't fit any of my saws and tie (marry) the scrench to a saw.

How come second hand saws very seldom come with the combination tool scrench they were sold with when new?

If its a fairly new saw I would remember the tools and bar plastic cover, after some time you just forget about how it looked when new and what came in the box. I have a stack of those plastic bar covers all like new - I never use them, and I dont remember them as a part of the saw if I was to sell one.
As for the tools they pile up, and your subconsciousness just assume everyone else have a pile of those too.
