Hello,
My wife and I were recently married (in October) and for our unity ceremony, we planted an 8 inch weeping willow tree sapling in a pot. Afraid of the sapling freezing before it takes root we decided to bring it inside at night.
Now after days of either forgetting to bring it back outside before work, days of no sunshine and cold/freezing rain, or just bieng too cold outside, the top leaves are getting yellow and wilting.
The cat has been eating it too, so we have to keep it under some milk crates while inside, furthering the likelihood that it is forgotten about.
We are currently in a warm spell and would like to winterize the tree so it naturally looses its leaves. What would be a safe way to do this?
