How do you start a saw that won't start?

Thanks Dan.

I hope so too. When we turn ours "USB" pops up on the camera screen. I'm going to prob call fuji customer service. Probably be cheaper to buy a new camera after all said and done.

Thanks Mike Maas!

Thanks Mike. Turns out I was flooding the saw because I couldn't hear it pop with my ear plugs in. The 044 sound is lower pitched than my 026 & 034. Just change my starting procedure for this saw and its fine. What a simple fix! This saw sounds good, can't wait to cut with it.

I have a question I've been meaning to ask for some time. I have an 066 that is impossible to start with the air filter on when the saw is cold. What would cause that?

I know this is dredging an old thread up, sorry if you already found out what's wrong.

If the air filter makes that big of a difference it has to be plugged, right? What kind of shape is it in? If it's plugged it'll flood I would think.

RB did you ever get it figured out? I have an 046 that if the temp is below about 35 degree's doesnt want to start, after that it will start just fine, I still have to rebuild the carb (the air filter is new) and I have put a new impulse line, fuel line and fuel filter on it, I also replaced the fuel tank vent. The thing is just stubborn about starting when its cold temps.

Cool, you've got it running.
Now, stick the bar under the closest log, aim it at whoever you have watching over you while you saw, pull the throttle to full, and blast them with sawdust!

this little guy will test your spark under pressure

Yes, my Maxflow filter has a cover that restricts airflow. I took that off and it starts fine.
