what do you all pay your estimators/sales guys? i pay $5 per house no matter what price and then they get to work on those trees (in a sense creating their own pay check).

yesterday one of my guys sold $2,125 worth of trees at 4 different houses. he was paid $20 (4x$5) commission and will have the privilege of working on them this week to earn more.

i swear this is true. this is not a troll. i know you don't believe me, but it's true and because of these things, i run the most efficient and highest net profit % tree biz you've ever seen. i truly love this business.

So what is the name of your company?

I think it's called "Rape and Run Tree Service". highest net profit, no doubt--until the trees run out. then he'll be coming to your neighborhood.:angry2:

treeminator,
I like to think of myself as a patient, understanding and tolerable guy, but you are the first and only person I have just put on the ignore list. You can reply, but I won't be able to see it after this.

If we ALL put you on ignore, will you please return the favor? Then we'll all be even and everyone will be happy. Can we have a group hug? :)

i don't get it. i just gave you one of the greatest cost savings tips in the business and i get a "let's ignore him" response.
i used to pay out 20% sales commissions before i adopted my new system.
try it sometime. take a rookie and propose that any business he generates he'll get to work on personally...thus creating his own paycheck. it'll give himself a sense of pride. then say, "just for a small incentive, i'll give you $5 per home you sell regardless of the amount." he already thinks the payoff is the fact he sold it and gets to work on it, meanwhile you get away with paying less than 1% commissions. it's brilliant !!!

Gag me, this fool is still here? and you guys are still responding? I'd use the ignore button as well, but I always enjoy a good laugh......

Homelites and Poulan WildThangs with "blades", letting rookies sell work...as if they'd know enough to sell proper work, and later perform it...ummmm, not likely if they agreed to $5......oh and running a crew full of rookies as well.....

ole McPeak would be proud of this trollid'jiot...

:deadhorse: :notrolls2:

Congrats, treetater. You're the first person I've ever put on ignore.

That's pretty cool, I can't see any of your idiotic posts. BTW, :sucks:

How is he gonna have time to work on the trees if he is looking at work? So if he looks at 20 jobs per day and only gets half of those jobs he's looked at he only gets $50? I guess you dont pay him an hourly rate do ya? You figure that he's makin enough on commission so there's no need. If i was one of them guys you have workin for, I'd go back to flippin burgers and baggin groceries.

Whoa! SERIOUS insults flying here! :D

Well deserved, too.

Ah, well, such kind eventually reap what they sow. And they scratch their head, trying to figure out why nobody wants to work for them....

They ususally blame someone else, of course.

no, you have it wrong. they get paid hourly, but have to go out and get their OWN work for the upcoming week. for that extra effort i give them $5 per house.
for example: if he sells to 2 homes and the job takes him 12 hours to complete, he gets his hourly pay for doing it ($8x12=$96) + $10 (2x$5) for the 2 homes on top of that.
so for selling 2 homes he gets $106 that day. they love the system and i only pay out 1% commission on average.

$106 a day? If he goes out, gets his own jobs, does the work, what does he need you for? Nevermind, i wont say no more, you must be a troll.

i agree. i can't believe they stick around without starting their own biz....but.... they come from minimum wage jobs and don't have the money to buy the equiptment. for example: i brainwash them into thinking they absolutely HAVE to own a stumpgrinder and chipper. no way can they afford those, so they hang around and are loyal.
