So I bought an old Sachs-Dolmar 123 off eBay not too long back and just had the chance to tear into it last week. I purchased the saw for parts or repair and assumed that the cylinder was scored or that the coil was bad. What I found during dis-assembly prior to cleanup, made me wonder just how far someone would go to save their favorite saw. The pictures pretty much tell the story. I have to give the feller credit for his ingenuity but also wonder why he didn't find someone who could actually weld before goobing the saw all up.
