my friend wants to sell me an efco 147 chainsaw, he runs a pawn shop and took it in on pawn, it looks new and cranks up first or second pull, he only want 50.00 for it. It has a 45cc motor and 18 inch bar. Is this saw any good???

I looked online and the northern tool company sells this saw for 349.00. I think it would be a good back up saw. So I'm gonna buy it!!!

147

The smaller efcos are not pro saws, but for $50 it should be plenty good for limbing and small firewood.

it is a good saw better than a ms 250 stihl by long way.plus it has forged rod 2 ring pistons and separate cylinder from case so u can but rings in it with taking crank out like the clamshell design engines.
