How much does your business rely on referals?

100% referrals 0% advertising. My trucks have no sign. Not even a phone #. I have grown to the point that bigger would be less profitable.

What about before you grew to that point, how much advertising did you do?

At least 50% comes from advertising. Where we work, most people are seasonal and therefore referrals to others are somewhat limited. I do have referrals but not over 50% and then there are the repeat customers. The other factor that plays well for me is I am well known in town so everyone knows what I do for a living and when they see the add somewhere, it reminds them to call me for the work. Busy all the time and as soon as this rain lets up a little, I'm back out.
