How often do you tighten your chainsaw chain?

Brand new chain, tighten a couple times in the first couple tanks, as the rivet holes loosen - chains don't "stretch".

Used chain, set tension once when I'm installing it. 98% it'll be fine until it comes off again.

I like that, science at it's best .......98% of the time. Anyone who has run saws long enough and failed to tighten a chain til they threw it is a dang liar. We have all done it

Chain tension gets checked whenever we sharpen the saw, which is before or after a firewood cutting session. Tilting the bar upwards as you tighten the clamping nuts down seems to hold the tension better.

No one is forcing anyone to read or reply to hipas silly thread /question posts.
But at least they get a few replies unlike my query on 462 throttle probs lol

I believe....but might be wrong...... he/she/it sees it as free advertising

Probably, all the while missing the point that the more of this garbage they post, the less likely we are to do business with them. “Engagement” is not always the most useful metric in online advertising…
