how to adjust constant down pressure on bandit 1590

i am trying to figure out how to adjust the constant down pressure on my 1590 , it has a hydraulic lift cylinder,, but it seems to creep up sometimes if im not stayin on the down pressure valve while feeding. any help ?

It's all done with the springs. You need to adjust the springs so they are in tension when the feed wheels are closed. The springs have several positions you can put them in.

The cylinders always stay in a float position. There is no hydraulic down pressure until you use the lift cylinder valve.
