Saw some guys burning down their 8ft. Pampas grass the other day instead of cutting and hauling it away. Pretty efficient actually , maybe try this?

Hmmmm, if you are not grounded you just become part of the phase right? Sooo jump like a squirrel onto the line, being careful not to touch two, and trim the brush away from the lines giving you a couple feet of wiggle room then tackle the rest from the ground?

I'd say the power company is responsible for manitaining their infrastructure and that includes clearing the brush around the lines in the right-of-way area. DO NOT **** WITH 138 kv, this is serious stuff that will kill you.

Call power company if the original poster is serious about this as I would think the average guy does not have the equipment to deal with this as it is well within the maximum allowed distance for that KV the equipment that they use is tested daily before it goes out.

Let this thread go. Check his stats: The guy just joined to try and get some info. Yeah, he's an HO and he will turn himself into a crispy critter if you give him any info. In no way will he be able to carry out the operation, safely.

We all let this thread go days back. Thanks for bumping it up again though :givebeer:
Yeah, thanks for giving me the comeuppance I so richly deserved. I see your little clique members, in here, really liked it. Nice going. I'm so ashamed. Man-------

Awwww come on, has it been burning that much that you had to come back and hit it again 3 days later, on a thread you said to let go? Don't take it so hard man, this is just general ribbing and banter, **** talk and carry on. Doesn't every crew do it? The more **** you get, the more a member of the crew you are. I cop it pretty good here sometimes, makes me feel welcome. You been round long enough to know. It's how we pass the time when there's nothing else to do.

I think he's just mad cause we didn't like his dorky helmet as much as he did :givebeer:
Hey, try it, you'll like it. The fold-away muffs were the deal maker, for me. Mostly, I used to go around saying, "Huh? What did you say? Can you repeat that?" Now, I can sorta/kinda hear, after a gig, although everyone sounds like they're on helium.
