When I was in in New Orleans, I marveled at the Palm trees outside of Harrah's Casino.
Anyway, I don't know about you guys, but I always size a nice tree up and visualized how I would dump it.
It is always exciting to see a species of tree for the first time and commit it's characteristics to memory, such as form, bark, leaves, crown etc.
How many years would I have done had I dumped one of those ornamentals?

I always size a nice tree up and figure out how I could make it grow better and longer. Less visible results, less money, less tangible rewards but oooooo it feels so good to make it last! Seeing em grow pretty when you revisit years later, no better feelin...

Hi MB, that is very generous of you, thanks, I will say RJ & JPS put me up to it. LOL
Although I may appear as a timber terrorist, I actually have selectively thinned over 1500 acres and it's ready to be cut again.
Trees are actually just glorified carrots, and when weeded out a bit they really twig to the extra light and room.
