I was at a Stihl dealer today talking about pole saws. He has a 4-mix HT 110 there that we talked about. He said that there was a HT 130 coming out this spring. Anyone know what the deal is? Specs? Just more displacement?

The HT 130, HT 131 engine has a 43mm bore and bigger valves and carb, so more power, 1.8 bhp compared to 1.3 on the HT 101.
The shaft has been beefed up to hold up under the higher torque the 4 cycle engine creates. The engine is a hybrid that uses 50:1 mix and is all position operation. There is a new harness that looks kind of goofy, but does work well to help hold the unit while moving from one location to another. I spent time trimming with one using the harness at a work day at our church, and it will do the job.

Good post there. The new HT131 is quiet a machine indeed. The 101 isn't bad either, it was considered, and may still be for the money, the best pole prunner on the market. Its no match for that 131 though.

I have a HT 101, you can cut more limbs in 2 hours than you can
get cleaned up in the rest of the day..........It is a cutting machine
I don't know if they all do but mine can sit for months.......put
the choke on one pull its running, I have never had any thing
that starts this good.

I find the KM130 (same motor as the 131) with the HT and HL attachments more useful... fixed additional extension as required... but that's just me... NO, I don't have the rototiller attachment:D
