Hey Guys! I have been reading for hours all the 2100 posts on the site trying to find out how to set the timing on the saw. A couple of posts mention to take note of the timing to get it back right. I had to replace the coil and it is held in place with three screws that are not slotted so it is fixed. The flywheel is keyed on to the crankshaft so it is fixed. So how can the timing be adjusted. I put the saw back together and have great spark and the plug is wet with fuel but it won't fire. What am I overlooking or misunderstanding?

A two stroke needs three things to run,

1, Compression

2, Spark (at the correct time)

3, Fuel/Air

Did you shear a key?

If not I would be looking real close at compression.

Compression is 125. Not great but definitely enough to fire. Key is not sheared. With the spark plug laying on top of the cylinder and pulling it over it has a very good blue spark. Swapped the plug with a new one. I took the carb apart but didn't have a kit for it and have ordered one since. I didn't see anything wrong in the carb and gave it a good cleaning. Hard to believe after all the pulling I haven't even gotten a single pop or backfire. Nothing!!!
