I like the feel of the 338 better. Both are nice saws, good power but the 338 feels better in my hands.

i noticed that too! the top handle of the Stihl (near the back of the handle), torques my wrist slightly due to the bulge of the case/handle. the 338 did'nt do that...i can see the Stihl creating problems (at least for me and my previously fractured wrist) after 8 hours of using it.

so far Husky 1 Stihl 0

Not trying to derail your thread, but wrist problems is one of the reasons I purchased this saw. Pics and discusion in this thread.

The 200t has been a long time favorite of mine, but this 3410 has some potential to take it place.

Can't comment on the husky

But the ms 200T is in my opinion the best climbing saw currently available.

That said, it does have a few weak points.

A mickey mouse lanyard attachment ring that's really just a bent piece of wire. Totally inadequate for serious rough and tumble climbing.

Under serious daily heavy duty use, it is simply a matter of time before the muffler either rattles loose or fractures into pieces. This has happened to me with five saws in a row, but I run them pretty hard I admit.

The saws here in CA only have two carb adjustment screws, one for idle, the other for both high and low. Sucks big time.

I hate the new fuel caps big time.

Aside from those problems it's great!
