Hello fellas. I have a few questions about saws that I haven't been able to find any answers to. First of all, I am having trouble with adjusting the low speed screw on a husky 345. The saw is about four years old, but hasn't seen much use. I can adjust it so it runs perfect when hot, but it will never start cold, but at the same time, I can adjust it so it starts when cold, but runs horrible when hot. Am I missing something or could there be an air leak? Also, how many pulls should it take to start a cold saw that has been sitting overnight. I give up after 8 pulls. The saw starts with one pull when hot, but to get it to start quickly cold, I have to richen up the low speed screw a lot. Also, correct me if I am wrong, but does this saw have an idle speed screw? Thanks for the advice!!!!!!

Are you using the choke when it is cold to start it? Becuase if you aren't that will make it significantly tougher to start when cold.

Born2cut, Timberswine has the correct idea. If the choke butterfly is not closing all the way or it may be bent slightly allowing air and not gas to enter the cylinder. Try this stunt. While cold, remove the air filter and cover the opening with your finger and pull the rope. With the switch off, and look at your finger. You should see gas.. In all reality this may be just some type of bent linkage.
