Thanks to good advice on this forum I bought a husky 353 w/18" bar and love it. I bought from local dealer even though it cost me $73 more including sales tax. But he did throw in $10 oil for free.
It starts much faster than another guys stihl. I usually have made several cuts before he gets the stihl cranked.
Using it to cut fallen trees (courtesy of hurrican katrina) that block roads on our hunting lease. Used it 3 full days so far and its been great. Doesnt bog even in a 20" oak tree.
Its gotten a little dull, chips are getting smaller. I went to order a new chain and a sharpening jig (sharp force) and then got confused. Everything I read said that the husky H30-72 chain came on the saw, it was made by Oregon, and was the same as the oregon 95vp-72. But the file size for the husky is 3/16 and the file size for the 95vp-72 is 5/32". What gives? They cant be the same then can they? Which is best? both are .325/.050/72 I see no need to have two different file sizes so I am thinking of sticking with the H30-72 (assuming that is what is on my saw) Is there a way to make sure of this?
