Did you use the decompression valve when trying to start it? As I have a 2015 372xp that floods everytime I try to start to start it if using the decomp
Is the plug wet and does it have spark

That decompression valve was the bane of my existence on my 372xp until I threw it away and replaced with a bolt. Now it only takes a couple of pulls cold and 1 pull hot.
 
Sorry guys, I meant to reply awhile ago but never got around to it.

I mixed a fresh can of fuel and the dang thing started on like the 3rd pull. Smoked briefly just to complain about being choked out on the old stale fuel, then ran beautifully. Guess I'll have to keep it...

yep unless you use daily its best to empty it out and then run it till it stalls...continue to not do that and you will be rebuilding, or worse yet replacing the carb...
