Husky 372XP trouble starting

Haven't run this thing since last October(?).

Effing thing will not start... what the hell? Brand new saw.

Did you use the decompression valve when trying to start it? As I have a 2015 372xp that floods everytime I try to start to start it if using the decomp
Is the plug wet and does it have spark

Yeah it is the same fuel.

I didn't depress the decompression until after the thing was already flooded.

Dump the fuel and start with fresh. Maybe even some canned mix of you have it available. And a new plug.

Pull it twice when you first pick it up with the decompression on then take the choke off. They won't fire on choke I noticed.

old fuel...change fuel, clean and dry plug, with the plug out crank over multiple times to dryout saw...reassemble with fresh fuel and remember that next time.

That decompression valve was the bane of my existence on my 372xp until I threw it away and replaced with a bolt. Now it only takes a couple of pulls cold and 1 pull hot.

99% it is either fuel, spark, or compression. Them is easy enough to check.

Sorry guys, I meant to reply awhile ago but never got around to it.

I mixed a fresh can of fuel and the dang thing started on like the 3rd pull. Smoked briefly just to complain about being choked out on the old stale fuel, then ran beautifully. Guess I'll have to keep it...

yep unless you use daily its best to empty it out and then run it till it stalls...continue to not do that and you will be rebuilding, or worse yet replacing the carb...
