I think JQ is suggesting you stick with an OEM piston.
Next best thing would probably be a Meteor.
Depending on current squish & your intended end use (ie if you were planning on milling with it) a pop-up may not be the best solution

Pretty much gonna seldomly be used as I had the meteor on my mind I have a ms 170 ,271 & husky 350 in the stable ready to cut. Thanks for the support & have a Merry Christmas

I just stuck a Dukes, website Sawsalvage moly coated piston in a 394 for local. Doing great so far.

Also put one in a 395 now too.
Meteor quality been going down and heard they are sourcing hyway for pistons now too. No clue if true but we did a thread and guys saying they are looking like hyway pistons side by side now.

I will chime in about Meteor pistons. I bought 2 of the same and the weight was a little more than one gram difference. They were for the 262xp. One from Baileys, one from Wolf. 64.1 grams vs 65.2 grams. My nickles from 1964 and 1997 both weighed 5.0 grams of my scale. Same box and label. Just an observation. I have always tried for OEM parts. Even the spark plug.
