I got my Husky 435 at a yard sale for $50 and it looked like it was not heavily used. It took a bit of tweaking on carb adjustments but runs nice, idles evenly, with a bit of 4 stroke at the top end, but then between cuts it will stall. Starts after a few pulls, but will stall again after a few minutes. Using only ethanol free gas. Any advice on where to start? Thanks, Larry

I would start with replacing the fuel filter, doing a carb rebuild kit, and maybe the fuel lines. They were the ticket on my 10 year old saw.

I know this is an ancient thread, but I just joined. My 435 had the same symptoms, eventually I discovered that the tank vent boss had no hole into the tank i.e. it was mismolded. I used a long 1/16" bit and perforated it, has run like a champ ever since.
