Hi there does anyone out there no y my saw is heating up to the point of catching on fire. Fuel lines look good. Chain lubricating and tensioned properly. The brake band does not seem to b rubbing. Although that where the fire started. There is rattling in the clutch area. Does that mean it's bad. Sounds funky when pulling the start cord. But starts up fine. I can feel the heat coming off the saw while I'm using it. Please help

Put a 576xp Carb on it before it melts.they are around $130.00

I have a 570 that I have been using for about 4 years now with no problems. Bring it in to the dealer ASAP before you score your cylinder/piston. If that happens you can expect to pay about $300 to fix it. Have them check your compression when you bring it in. Hopefully it still starts easily for you or your compression might already be toast.

I've been running Huskies for almost 15 years now. The oil pumps seem to be their biggest downfall. I've replaced the pumps 2 and 3 times on some of the saws I've owned.

Next time it catches fire, let it burn and go get a stihl, or at least a 372. I've heard no good from 500 series owners.
