a ZO6 corvette isn't going to last longer than a C6 corvette it will however perform better, and therefore go for a higher price.

:deadhorse:

But you got rid of it anyway........:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

The power to weight ratio is really bad, otherwise it probably is a quite nice saw.

I wouldn't buy one, even at a bargain price, but that's just me....

I got rid of it after I got the 7900.
Like I said, there was nothing wrong with it.
BUT, if you have a lighter AND more powerful saw sitting right there, what are you gonna grab?

I just knew that I'd never use it given that situation.

The 570 is not a professional saw - the 575 is (XP). You can see it by the power to weight ratio, and in some time you'll see it in the durability of the saw. The 570 will wear out much sooner than the 575xp!

This is simply NOT true.
The 570 has a magnesium crankcase, and the same parts as the 575.
It has a decomp valve, and the quick release cover as well.
the only difference is engine size.

This is the kind of disinformation that I was referring to.
There is NOTHING wrong with the 570, its just a little heavy.

....."eXtra Performance", really...

okay, if you insist, I will attempt to use the proper terms... to tell you the truth I didn't know for a long time exactly what Husqvarna's politically correct definition of XP was, so I kinda made up my own...it's all a silly marketing game to me. Especially now that XP comes in its own fancy raised logo on the new Husky saws! That probably adds $5 to our cost...grrr....

I gotta say not a big fan of the 570 .........
Saw does not rev at all , feels and acts very sluggish . Tried adjusting carb to help it some with really not very much for results . Going to remove limiters tomorrow and see if I can get it to run any better . But as for it replacing the 372 that has to be one of the dumbest moves on Husqvarnas part ...........
It is almost the same weight as my 385
Your 570 most likely needs a good carb tweaking, most we have out there now respond well to a good adjustment.
Toss those darn limiters and adjust her till she runs good, and you'll probably be a lot happier with it though it by nature will most likely still be a bit cold blooded.
The 372 simply kicks the 570/575xp's arse in the power to weight department. Sad but true that Husky decided to axe this old reliable model...but compromises have to be made for the EPA...my personal opinion is that if I were making my living with a saw and needed something about the size of a 575xp, I'd carry the 385xp for the power advantage it has over the 575xp at almost the same weight & size...

Thats only in america, where epa rules the land... over here in europe 372xp will most likely be available for years....

As several of you have mentioned the 570 is built as a PRO saw, and here in the US is marketed as a PRO saw (though i tend to sell it to homeowners who have a lot of land). And as for the EPA thing, I find it funny that Europe seems to be behind the US as far as emissions on small 2/4 cycle engines yet seems to be ahead of us with automobiles in that respect. go figure...and with the 372, i think whether or not the US gets 1 last run of 372's (we havent been able to order one since early 05) depends on if they have enouh EPA credits from other units that exceed phase 2 compliance(372's don't even meet the 2005 standard). I've been told it's still a maybe regarding 372's in the US. Not all units have to be compliant, just the average of all units must meet the standard at this point (eventually all units will have to individually meet the standard i hear)

Well, those emissions are simple thing, Quess which pollutes more, a 6 liter gasoline powered car or 50cc chainsaw?? thats the reason why our chainsaws dont come with epa crap like in america.... Oh, and another reason is that our factories are alot more enviro-friendly....

:notrolls2:

why hasn't every American on this board banded together and tared and feathered the people who work for the EPA? seriously why do we allow these bureaucracies to run our lives. :angry2:

Are you kidding? The environmental movement!!!

Look how much crap the US takes for not signing the Kyoto treaty.

We may disagree with the EPA, but there are a whole bunch of folks want everything a LOT stricter.
If you give money to Greenpeace, or other groups, look closely at their agenda.

I'm kinda neutral on the issue, but thats because I think India and China are gonna pump out more emissions than we can dream of in a few years.

The scary thing is that the non-epa chainsaw probably does pollute more! Once the cat is warmed up on your truck you don't smell any unburnt fuel correct? The saw is always spewing 1/3 to 1/2 its fuel out as unburnt...

Now there are probably 5000 cars run every day to each chainsaw so I still think the epa worrying about saws is a bit silly but its got to be better for your health to run a cleaner burning saw.

I don't have too much of a problem with the EPA rules. I wish other countries would adapt to ours. I tend to think that the manufacturers should use whatever country has the tightest emissions standard as the standard for ALL their products, instead of just migrating production and sales of our obsolete models to 3rd world countries. There's no reason besides greed for the husky 61 and 288 to be still available as new units in Brazil, or the the FS 90 (which is one of stihl's cleanest trimmer units) to not be available anywhere outside the US. The manufactures seem to only build as many units to our higher environmental standards as they have to, but anyways...i do agree that india and china are going to be the biggest culprits. If anything maybe they need the newer tech stuff more than we do ?!?(just a thouhgt) The only difficulty in ridding some of the old tech units is when different countries emphasize one type of pollution control over another within a category.

Any diesel car without particle filter pollute enormously, and should be banned or punished with heavy taxes, as in Sweden - jmo.......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

never mind it seems saw owners like large oppressive government bureaucracies, they have no control over. i now know why EPA employees haven't been tared and feathered in mass...

????:crazy1:

I don't know what you are getting at...

yeah!! we should tar and feather those bastards!!!

That better?

Taxes?? did you say Taxes?? Taxes arent the answer for anything were taxed enough thats the problem with legislation on clean air and clean this and clean that its a plot for money we tax alcohal and tobacco so less people will use it and then build a:censored: school with the tax revenue and come to depend on the tax colected off the sales. yes we want you to smoke and drink less but we dont want you to stop buying the stuff because we have to have the tax money Follow the money trail when your taxed on something it not only punishes the blue collar man working everyday it makes uncle sam more dependent on higher tax revenues JMO:buttkick:
