Husky 575xp value

Have a 575xp vent saw. Looking for an approximate value as I know nothing husqvarna saws. Saw does need a muffler and top cover is cracked. Does start and run. Makes 152 psi compression. Can't how good it cuts as I'm scared to run it more than a few seconds without muffler.

I would guess $300-325 good to go with a muffler installed. 575s are somewhat disfavored in this site and others, but it is still a solid 70cc class saw of reasonably modern manufacture.

Those saws sold new at the dealer for 750 to 800. The muffler is going to cost 60 to 75 to replace. Like has already been posted, Id say around 300 with a new muffler would be a fair price. Unlike most on here, Ive used the 575 and 576 series saws a LOT in the last several years and I like them better than the 372 everybody around here loves so much. In fact Im still running 4 of them, albeit not as much as I used to. Ive switched most of my cutting duties to a 562xp for 20" stuff and a 390xp for the longer bars. AINT NOTHING WRONG WITH A 575 THOUGH!

You don’t want it? I say go to eBay and look for a used muffler. Put some seafoam in the 40:1 husky 2t mix and run a tank through it. Free up the stuck rings or lube them. The compression should come up. She’s worth more than $250. Nothing wrong with these saws I run them oil rich.

I don't know much about husqvarna saws. Prefer stihl myself. These huskys seem to be a pain in the neck to work on.

Yes it’s hard to find info on these, I was curious about them the last few days. What I’ve learned is that they are a pound heavier than the 372 and people hate that. All I can get out of people is that they run “smoother” whatever that means.
Walt has a decent video on one he rebuilds and I think he’s right, it was built Fromm the ground up to accommodate the x torque design. This design is very very similar to the 550 and 562’s that I’ve seen and had. This makes me think that it is a superior design, but then again I think it’s hard to compare two things that both run really really well and say which one is better.

I’d sure like to try a 576 tho

I did put a muffler on it. Haven't had a chance to play with it much. Just long enough to figure out it needs a new decomp button. I quit trying to run it in fear of running it lean. When I get time to go to the husqvarna dealer and pick one up I'll get back at it. Also need to get a regular bar and chain. I made the mistake of selling my 064 and I'm hoping this saw will fill the void till I can find another 064.

I think once you run the 575 for a while you might like it. What’s different in the 576? I have both the 570 & 575 then I go to the 385xp.

The transfers from the crankcase are different. The 575 has 2 isolated holes for the transfers. The 576 are more ported and tear drop shaped without any material separating them from the main "hole" where the connecting rod travels. Other than that, all other parts interchange.

My 576 xpg has always ran just over 150 psi since new. You have to remember manual says 87 octane fuel is ok so your not going to see 180 psi like my 288 that calls for minimum 91 octane. 576 is so much smoother that 288 that puts your hands to sleep lol

My 575 & 385 when new weren’t too far apart cutting wise. The 575 ran a 28” bar while the 385 ran a 32” bar both had full chisel skip chain. My youngest son went online (he researches everything) he said there’s a lot of negativity and problems with the 570/575 saws. I gave him a good 570 to try. He likes it. I told him to add a tad more oil to the 50:1 husky premix.
