The 2156 is the best saw of those listed, as would be it's twin, the 357 Husky. Out of all of the saws however, only the 2150 and the 357 are available as non E-tech models. The others all have the cat muffler which reduces performance, and increases heat. LOT'S of heat. A regular muffler can be had for any of them in the $35 to $40 range.

Like Troll asks, what you are going to be using the saw for is part of the equation here.

Experience has shown me that there is no real need to fear the "P" word with these saws. ("Plastic" There was probably a time when people complained about plastic tanks too.) I have seen a couple of instances where the muffler bolts loosen up and exhaust gases burn through the crankcase. But anyone who let's the muffler get that loose and doesn't notice that it's rattleing around probably shouldn't be running a saw to begin with. (Anybody ever notice that the owner's manual states it's the owners' responsibility to check bolts and screws and such?) But otherwise, the plastic has not been an issue. The 2150/350 use the same cylinder as the 2152/353, they cost about $60 less, and they have the regular muffler.

you would be better off with a STIHL..........

couldnt resist, since everytime someone is looking for a STIHL all of the Husky guys chirp in. ;)

Agree, but the MS361 would be a better option than any of those mentioned, except for really small wood........:rockn: :rockn:

The Jonsered chainsaw's is the best looking saw's, mush like the ugly sister Husqvarna but better looking and more air are blown for cooling.
The only problem can be to get yours hands on the Jonsered CS 2147 TURBO over there :dizzy:

I like Jonsered saws because they have the straight handlebar and are turbocharged!

They all say TURBO on them, but no turbo under the hood. Must be like the 1980's when everything was a turbo. Excuse me I have to go brush my teeth with my TURBO toothbrush...

Don't you have turbocharged Jonsered over there?, or don't EPA regulation allowed that?

I don't know. I don't even know where I'd look for a Jonsered. Here in this part of the country, you have to go out of your way to find anything other than Stihl. That's why I have 7 Stihl's. oops, that must be a typo, I can't have 7.

I think there are alot of people that don't realize how regional saw brands really are.

Here I live we have all the 3 BIG one's, for pro STIHL and Jonsered are bigger then Husqvarna. For the homeowner's Husqvarna is the biggest here.

I agree on that, but I always thought that J-reds were more popular on the west coast & huskys on east side, although we have some good Jonsered dealers here.
