No, the XP designation is the only way to know if a newer Husky is a pro model. The 200 series saws are just the predecessors to the 300's. e.g. the 257XP was replaced by the 357XP, the 272XP was replaced by the 372XP, etc.
If only minor changes are made then only the last digit is changed, i.e. 371XP became the 372XP, 394XP became the 395XP
Gentlemen, I don't believe the 257 was an XP saw. It was/is a Good saw with more power in the midrange. Sort of like the 261 vs the 262XP. Now, they did make a 254XP but it was only 3.3 cu.
I think the 200 series saws were great! They have a good feel and quality.
