i just bought a husky 298XP is this saw agood saw to build into nitro. 166dolmarnp

Yes 166 it is a good saw to build into a race saw , it is just a lighter design of a 2100 but the only thing you will find is the 298 is alot harder to start than a 2100 becauce of the different flywheel recoil design

The 298 is a somewhat rare saw. If it is in good shape you want want to keep it as is. If you want to part with it I would be interested.
