I have an old Aliis Chalmers 75-A (Orange color) in my garage. It was my Dad's and never got used much. I rebuilt the carburetor a couple of weeks ago, replaced the tank fuel filter and fuel lines. I used it yesterday and it really performed well until it just quit. Saw has a really nice balance. Found out the flywheel on the engine cut into the new fuel line. :-( There is a hole to feed the fuel line from the carburetor to the area of the flywheel. I didn't remove the flywheel to see how to route the line. Anyway, ordered more line. I don't see what keeps the fuel line out of the way of the flywheel? Maybe I routed it incorrectly since the old fuel line was basically crumbled? Not sure how old the saw is either? I really don't need the old Allis but at least wanted to get it running. I'm currently using a Solo 635 for small jobs around the yard. I wish I could get a little matching orange paint for her.
