mark you might pull those screws on out and clean the scews and seats real good with some cleaner . i had a saw a while back i couldnt make run right. and the high speed screw was gummed up and was leaning the saw out ..

on another note i was running my 044 stihl today and it wouldnt idel down . i scratched head for an hour trying to figure it out , turned out to be the kill switch wire had hooked the throtle linkage and was holding a bind on it .
told this one to remind folks it could be something real simple too .

Yes Wes, that was me. I still have plans for that saw, just getting to it is the problem.

Yes I know that the manual oiler is not needed, as the little I had this one running had the top of my bench looking like the Exxon Valdeez had parked there.

Mainly I was looking for a way to verify a 1100 from a 2100.

I'm going to be working the carb over tomorrow and I just looked at it again and just noticed that when I took it apart there was no carb gasket on it! I also wonder why when there are as many saws like this one and the Poulans that use a HS why wont they include a gasket with the carb kit that you can actually use.

I also see that this HS has the governor on it, so with the trouble I have had with them, I'll be blocking it off at least till I know its up and running right.

got the smaller bother to the 1100 CD . they should have put a kick starter on them .great sounding saw . ready to vaporize wood

You really think they pull that hard? Don't get me wrong they take a tug for sure, but not nearly as bad as I thought it would for a 100cc saw.

I think my Super XL925 at 82cc pulls over just as hard if not harder and I belive my CS-900EVL does as well.

I know my Poulan 71-A pulls harder.

wonder why husky did these saws like this built an 1100 and 2100 , same cc saw ,
480 and 380 77cc saw and several more like this just renamed em
ive always wondered why they did this , i believe you can take a top off of a 480 and set it on a 380 , i know the tanks are diff but why the same cc saw different name . you know 480 sounds like it would be a bigger saw than 380
and 2100 definitely sounds like it should be bigger than an 1100 but not.

Grrr, I just done the carb on this and think I got it staightend out, but when checking the clutch spring I find it has a crank brg going out.

Oh well down she comes.

Sorry to hear that brother Mark.:(

well mark when you get her rebuilt it will be bullet proof . i rebuilt a 044 here a while back first crank bearing rebuild but 2 pulls and its runnin . how do you put a pic to display in a post i can get em in there but you have to click on a button to look at em .

I just did a ground up rebuild last week on a Poulan 4200 and hope the Husky is even half as easy. Should not be bad I'll get it opened up later today.

Wess, a fellow member started a excellent post on posting pictures. Check this out, even I learned how to do it.

Jacob, thats good to hear, because if the Husky is any easier to do at all then it should be able to do it by itself! :)

Seriously keep your ears open in case I get into a jam. I have the 2100 service manual which I think should pretty much get me through it.

tryin to figure out this picture deal . heres a big boy line up in the shop . the big guns so to speak .
stihl 084 42 inch bar
huskie 2100 26 inch bar small bar for big saw i know
pro mac 1000 . cant remember the length on it ( nother 100cc monster also known as a partner p100)
last but not least my favorite saw in the stable stihl 044 28 inch bar .
did a round up rebuild on it bout 6 months ago its a got getter .
dunno what order pics showed up in but yall can figure it out .

mark if you look at the pic of the 2100 you will see the manual oiler on it , its got the full wrap bar too . not av mounts tho . it rattles your teeth in the cut lol

it worked but not quite all in a row ,
the saw stuck in the log is the 044 ,
and mark if you look in the pic behind the huskie there is one of your lil wayward poulans . think its a 3400

Yeppers! your getting the picture thing down alright. You got some nice roof hangers there.

You think that 2100 is a bit much with a 26"? You should have seen the 1100 today with a 20" 3/8's and a 8 tooth sprocket. Lets just say its impressive I pushed it hard through a piece of oak about 16" dia and couldnt bog it.

I got busy today and didn't get it tore down, but maybe tomorrow.

Yeah I noticed the 3400, but since your down in Poulan country, yours supposed to be on the lookout for the much bigger lime green ones for me.

i got a man wanting to trade a poulan 6000 for a running 046 , and yea that bar is a lil short for it , but i burried it in a 30 inch pine and she wlaked right thru it , i had the bar in the shop off another huskie so i mounted her up with the 26 and 3/8 and went to work .
i got an 066 with a 36 somewhere for my long bar needs then if she wont handle it the beast comes out with the 42 inch and that thing is awe inspiring to run . bit of a beast to crank but when she busts off she will idle for ever and run like a raped ape

cool saw bro. I want one. Or three!:givebeer:
I have a good running 1100 for sale if you’re still looking for one. Can come with the bar shown (40”) or I have a few different length bars if that one’s too long. PM me and we can chat.
