i love my 346 more each time I use it:) its such a pleasure to use.Its light
fast and super smooth.I do not know how you could get a better light saw

Yessssssssssssss!

Thanks Stan!!

I feel my wallet getting lighter already. The neat part is, I'll have the ability to compare it with the 350 - cutting side by side. The 350 is 7cc's bigger in cylinder displacement but produces .2 less horsepower. The 346xp no doubt wins the HP race with all that engine RPM!

Yep, I've always loved my 346's..both were or are fully woods modded. I may get a 353 and have a good builder work it over. With its much larger displacement, and only 3 ounces more weight, it should be a real runner, as I've heard, and offer real competition to my ehp 5100S)

The 350 is homeowner quality and build, (plastic crankcase, I think) the 353 more in line with the 346, but is not quad transfer ported.

....

I believe Ed once (not too long ago) said that the 353 will actually beat the 346xp and the 5100S, when all are modded properly.

I believe thats obvious since 353 has slight advantage of bigger displacement and when modded it should have potential for +4hp i believe...

Sort of, but earlier attempts wasn't that successfull, and I believe the 353 needs more work to reach the full (so far) potential.......

new 346

does anyone know about the new 346?

The 353 is really a quad port saw it is just not like the 346

the 346 should be good for 5+ hp.

While in the Yukon I ran into an auto wrecker/ woodtick who was bragging about his stock 3120 and how it chows down on the wood fibre, so being the cocky sawed off woodtick that I am, I piped up and bet him 100$ my KD 346 would cut twice the wood in half the time. He never took me up on the offer.
It's all in the chain and the operator. The 346 loves roundwood under 12", but soon bogs if you ride it. Remember- if a saw was meant to be rode it would come with a saddle.
