HUSQVARNA 365s anyone have one, is it a good saw, looking to buy another saw, saw a HUSQVARNA 365s used for sale.

I got a real fast one. Not sure, but I believe all the Special's have the closed ports. Had one with open ports. If you ever cut with a 372 you'll know by the feel. 365, closed port, is not that far behind.

I have two husky 365 XP's and think they're great saws both on and off the ground. Husky's Air Injection air cleaning system is in my opinion the very best air cleaning system ever developed for use in the tree industry period.

Almost all my mid size saws are now husky, and though they may not have the raw power of a Stihl ( with a clean air filter ) their superior air cleaners, anti-vibe system and dependability, make them my choice in the mid-range.

Wouldn't you know they've decided to quit making the 365's , go figure!

Husky 365

:hmm3grin2orange: I Have an 05 model 365 special, have to agree great all around little saw, butt loads of torque and the steel spring vibration dampened top handle is very user friendly especailly as the day wears on. The saw works great for felling or limbing, I have used it on Oaks & pine up to 42" I normally run a 20" bar and i m sure it would handle a bigger bar for flush cutting a stump if your big saw wasnt available :pumpkin2:

What are closed ports, are they a good thing?

I was planning on getting this saw to modify it will the "Closed ports" cause issues?

There are no issues with a closed port saw

Thanks Buck Futter you have been very helpful and patient, with the millions of questions I have asked

What are closed ports???????

If you look at the picture that kf tree showed you at the other place that is a closed port saw. I have a pic somewhere on here of a open port saw I will try to find.

yeah if that was only the case, I need to cut firewood and clear some areas for a garage and to widen my driveway

Saw Troll is not to be trifled with

There never was any 365xp's....

The xp saws in that family of saws are the 371xp, 362xp and 372xp

I humbly bow to your obviously superior knowlege of saws.

I went out to my tool truck somewhat indignantly to double check my 365 husky's, and while my 262 and 394 were indeed XP's, alas my 365's were both Specials and I sheepishly returned to the house to report my ignorance.

And while I'm at it, Saw Troll was also correct about 3120's not having Air Injection, this was a rash assumption on my part, and my only excuse is that my 394XP does have Air Injection. I don't own a 3120, but called a friend who does, and he smugly informed me I was wrong.

I now realise that the Saw Troll is indeed no one to be trifled with!

A humbled,

It is a horn on my 084. It makes a gawd aweful canuckian bird noise. Not quite sure why it is there.
