All right fellas. I've found a welder I want and need to move a saw to pay for it since all my extra money went to a heat pump. I've got a stock 385xpw and a ported 390xpw. I'll get more pictures here shortly of them since I can't find any good ones.

The 385xpw is a total rebuild I did with around 5-8 tanks of fuel through it so far. I put all OEM bearings and seals in it. It has 180 lbs of compression with a base gasket delete. I've put a new clutch cover, top cover, and I have a new muffler on order. If someone wants it I can swap the modded muffler off the 390 on to it. Asking $550 plus shipping.

The 390xpw was bought new by me in 2009 or so. The husky dealer made me mad and I traded it off ported with 2-3 tanks through it. The guy that got it used it a couple times and put it up. He had one of the xpws I ported and didn't feel the need to break this one out. I got it back and had Randy cut the chamber and base and I optimized the timing from when I ported it before. I've put about 2 gallons through it here lately milling and bucking some big oak. It's a great runner with 200-205 lbs of compression on my snap on gauge. Asking $850 for it.

They're both nice runners. The 390 will out cut the 385 by about 25%.

Find the welder used or buying new? Miller makes some good stuff. I bought a Hobart Handler 187 a few years ago and love it. Hobart is Miller but some of the hobart stuff, like my 187 has a few more plastic pieces where the Miller has metal. But for what I do and the cost differential, the Hobart does great. I went from a crapsman 120V to the 220v 187. Night and day difference.

Well the 385 is up for sale again. I've come up with 3 more saws so I need to make some more room.
