a nice burst of flame and a backfire, pulled the flywheel and it had a sheared key, put a good one on its place and ran great- I have built and fixed hundreds of saws including 385 and 390,s so I have lots of parts and if it is your timing will be off causing it to fire at the wrong time or not at all- just trying to help-up to you what you do

I will pull the flywheel and see if it sheared. Thanks

well, finally got around to pulling the flywheel,, key was sheared. Lined it up as close as I could and tightened it down really well. Now it will fire up somewhat close to normal. Still not sure if everything is correct, will rebuild the carb nest and see how it runs
