I have a smashed 41 Husqvarna given to me. Its got great compression but the main mounts on the crank case got broken off during its crash. So, what other saws can this jug and piston and other internal parts be used on? I am thinking the 36,136 and the 141. What about the 142? Just looking for a project and maybe have a saw in the ned for the wife to work with.

I believe your thinking is right, and don't know about the 142/137, but my guess is that it will fit there also. The 142 is downrated in power, compared to the 41/141, and I don't know witch parts are different (engine, muffler, carb??????)

Troll,
Imade a mistake on the model of that saw. Its a 44 what does that interchange with.

The 44 is the "Rancher" ("simplified" version) of the 444 pro saw - a much better saw than the 41, and made in Sweden. There also was a 644, 1989 Jubilee version of the 44.

Those saws are not compatible with any other models, as far as I know....;)
