Hi,first post here so hello.I have a Husky 45 which although an old saw is still running really well. The problem is the chain oil is leaking and is not pumping enough to chain. If I take the metal housing off and remove the small rubber unit that the oil travels in up to chain, and start the saw the oil pump appears to be working,it spits out the oil from the hole in the pipe.Is this how the pump should work?I have checked that the rubber unit is clear would replacing this unit cure the problem or does the pump need sorting?Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Andy I found a short thread with a similar problem and one that's related. My level of experience is not enough to know but I think the pump should flow not spit. Hopefully disassembly, cleaning and reassembly will clear this up. Compressed air and a solvent than won't eat the rubber or plastic is probably better than pushing something rigid or sharp through the possibly blocked parts.
