Husqvarna 550 conversation from .325 to 3/8

Wanted more perspective on this before I order anything:

Want to keep all my bars and chains the same. I want to eventually get a spool and rivet together my own chains instead of always going to the store or ordering them.

I have done some reading and video watching on this subject; Is this conversation as easy as ordering the part and switching the sprockets out? I have the .325 sprocket disassembled from the saw at the moment.

I did my first gen 550 and 545 that way soon as I got them. If as running short bar like 16".
I put 3/8 7T rim and letem rip. If as you have matching bar chain.

325 is smoother for limbing etc.

I saved one and increased the bar to 20" at the owner's request. He wanted 0.325" pitch and loves the "new" saw that was trash before I started:

You need to replace the bar as well as the drive sprocket.
Drive sprocket must match chain pitch,
Bar must match chain pitch & chain gauge.

The parts to do this are very easy to get.
A 3/8 rim sprocket (19mm id) and a 3/8 bar for a husky small mount saw.
