I just got a Husqvarna 572xpg the other day. I'm having an issue where the rear bar nut keeps coming loose, I didn't even run a whole tank of gas through it and had to tighten it 4 times. The front one has been staying tight. What could cause this issue? If it's something simple I'll just try to fix it myself and avoid warranty. Other than this I love the saw!

maybe check your clutch drum- if it's looking burnt take it back to the dealer- shouldnt need loctight on a bar nut if it's tight- is that stud starting to look a bit longer than the other- could have broken off inside the oil tank

They both look the same length, and the nut tightens up, but when I start cutting larger pieces of wood it ends up working loose. I called the dealer and I'm taking it to them this afternoon.

Are you tightening 1 nut then the other and start cutting? Or are you rechecking both nuts after tightening to make sure they are tightened evenly, as one will come loose it not. The one with the least amount of torque will always come loose.

I always check both to make sure they're tight.
