Pretty sure the first pic is a 562.

You have a big boat?Looks like the big sister to the 562
How heavy?
I may remember you talking about that, I'm lucky to remember my own name these days. Thought maybe you were hitting the sauce again.hell yes i have, was a QST running a prototype for husky. had lots of hours on it with no identification whatoever. i actually originally thought it was a 562 but then realized it had an all orange crank case with an actual full wrap rather then a 3/4. was basicly a slightly bigger 562. definitely not the same case like the 365/372 as everything just seemed scaled up bigger. it ran real good even in stock form IMO. i ran it with a 36" stihl light. no hesitation at all. couldn't tell if it was cold blooded like the 550 because he always wanted to let it idle 5 min before he started cutting. i'be bragged about running a 572 at least 8 times on here. where you been bud? lol
haha..You have a big boat?
I was wondering, in your opinion,.....If the "First" pic had any resemblance to the prototype you encountered. the prototype literally looks identical to a 562 except scaled up. everything about it was bigger and the thing that stood out the most was the muffler. case was orange on the prototype but i bet it comes silver once they produce them. also had a real full wrap like the 372/390 style.
I hope the real reason for the delay, Husqvarna is making sure the saw doesn't have any design flaws, and is truly ready for mass production. I believe we can all agree, the introduction of the latest generation of Husqvarna saws didn't go so smoothly. There are several AS members that have (some have said they ran a larger version as well), and I know that Spike60 had a couple of preproduction ones out with loggers some years ago, for tests.
The reason that the new models haven't hit the market yet is anybody's guess - but a likely one is that the current models still are selling very well, and they don't want to disrupt that with replacing them with new models.
If so that's a pity though, as the current "breed" of 70cc saws (all brands) is riddled with EPA imposed limitations and high weight, and not how a 70cc saw really should be (and once was). If they found a way to make a neat and light saw within the limitations, they really should take the chance and release it - maybe just replacing the 576xp at first, and then the 372xpxt as well, if it is a success.
