I posted this question under husqvarna 24 but heading was wrong.

I was replacing a fuel line and grabbed the duckbill check valve with my hemostats and pulled it out of its socket in the tank. I now have to remove the brass plug on the outside of the tank to reinstall the the check valve.

My question is how do you remove this plug?

I pressurised the tank hoping to blow it out but that didn't work

Take a screw and screw it in the plug. Then you just pull out the screw and the plug will come out as well.

Not really a plug..it looks like a porous vent/filter
