Words of wisdom here.

BTW I run Oregon ProLite bars on an MS361 and a 357XP and find them to be good bars. I used to run one on the MS260 also. I think maybe the Stihl Rollamatic E may be lighter the the Oregon but I'm not sure. The Oregon bars, Power Match and RW are really nice too. Both are lighter than Stihl. Regardless I mostly run Cannon because of the wood I'm having to deal with. The Cannon bars have much harder rails than Stihl or Oregon.

The Rollomatic E (laminated) sure is lighter - it has a reduced weight center laminate ("sceletonized").

It is with much regret that I report the husqvarna techlite bar did not show up in the mail as I had hoped it would. I even called the post office to make sure. So, we will have to wait until Tuesday when myself and mdavlee gtg for the results. If it comes tomorrow I will try and post some pics of it.

Oh well, if it's coming usps it might be there tomorrow. That's the other plus using them over ups with saturday delivery.

No reason for any regrets, everything doesn't happen the way we hope!

On the flip side, I once bought a saw from the US, and it arrived here in North Norway in 4 days, including a week-end and costums clearing.

I once knew a girl from either Norway or Finland.....she was way hot.
Also, knew a good lookin gal from France, but she had a bad attitude.
Anyway, isn't Norway close to Finland? Maybee side by side?
I sure would like to see it.

Well men, she finally arrived just a few minutes ago.
I can tell you it is a very Sharp looking bar. It feels very light yet very sturdy also.
Will post pics if possible. I'm home alone today with my 15 month Ulf baby girl. So I doubt illget to.

Side by side in the North, further South Sweden and the Baltic sea is inbetween.

Look at a map!

Yes, I know - but Husky Norway knows nothing about them, at least they said so when I asked. This is not as strange as it sounds, as that is the sales organization, while the factory relates directly to the mother company in Sweden - a different "branch" so to speak.....

I just talked to my dealer, and it's no surprise me and SawTroll haven't heard about or seen this bar - it is being released in a few weeks over here. As I understood it, the guy from Husqvarna wouldn't divulge any information until he heard the name "techlite". We'll be on the lookout and will get one as soon as we can get our hands on it.

Does anybody have a part number? The support guy said there isn't one yet.

Fun times! /LR

544 90 24-72 for the 20" bar

I'm pretty sure it is a laminated bar. I just wonder how it will hold up compared to the oregon rw.

Going by what the rep said, it won't bend near as easy as the Oregon. They have been beating them pretty bad also. One of ya'll husky guys will have to test them out together.

Hopefully I'll get to see hillbillys 20" version this week. I might try the 28" version if I like that one. I was about to get another 28" oregon rw.

Here's a picture of the 20" techlite bar. I think it's a pretty good bar. On the 372 it felt like there wasn't hardly a bar on it.

That is exactly what it is, and the mid laminate is aluminum, not steel - that is the reason I am sceptical! :)

Well, then the middle part might weigh 1/3 of normal, which might be somewhat special.

When they were comparing the weight to solid bars, I afraid that it was a plain old laminated bar wrapped up in hype.
