This is the 2nd 455 I’ve picked up in the last year with stuck ring. Last time I tore it completely apart and put in a new ring. Because I’m pretty lazy , I’m wondering if I can unstick it without all of the fuss I have a spray can of Evinrude engine tuner that is supposed to break down carbon. I spayed it down both the plug hole and through the exhaust port. I’m thinking that maybe if I do it a few times over the next week that maybe it might break free. Has anyone ever gotten good results by being lazy with a stuck ring?
