About 6 years ago I did a Hwy/Meteor, Caber rings. I probably looked stuff over somewhat. Didn’t do any caliper type comparison of this or that. Put it together and ran it with a bit more oil in the mix. It’s an 036 with 175 psi and it seems to be a very good runner. I have a couple 50 cc saws and lesser cc saws for comparison. Just my ignorant 2 cents. Maybe just lucky.

I just turned a ms290 into a 390 for a guy, I used a standard hyway cylinder with a cross pop up. I worked the ex and in ports to reshape and ground out a pile of lower transfers surrounding the bearing pockets . There was a chunk of aluminum casting about the size of a grain of rice that for sure would have hung a ring and gouged the piston. There was also a 2-3 millimeter non plated dead zone at the top of the cylinder. In the end It turned out pretty good considering.
