Ever hear of a focus group? They apparently do market research for whoever hires them, and they pay people that meet certain criterion to come in and talk.
As an owner of commercial mowers, I met all their criterion, so I got paid $150 (CASH !) to come sit down for 1 1/2 hours and answer their questions about commercial mowers. I was in a room with 4 of my competitors, so that was almost fun, too. I had to drive only 2 miles from my shop to get to their office, so that wasn't bad, either.
They might call me tomorrow for a $100 individual one-on-one interview where they come to my office to ask questions.
I am hoping that they think that I flapped my lips so skillfully that they want to hear more from me. I like getting paid $100/hour for not working.
Has anybody else ever done this?
