Quick question.....

Is a MS 200T in descent shape worth $200.00?

IF it's in decent shape, absolutely. Make sure it has a stable in idle in any position, and has at least 145 compression (preferably 155+). If the idle varies by position or to coughs out, it might be as simple as a carb adjustment or as bad as a worn piston skirt.

Good 200T for $200? Make sure the serial numbers are still there.

Other than that, like Andy said make sure it's a sound saw, and then yes, it's very much worth that.

The serial number is clearly legible
It idled nice, however I couldn't check the compression.
The chain is dull, but it still cut through a 4x4 (only thing I could find)
Thanks for the bode of confidence in a used saw.
I will clean it up and give it a sharpen tonight.

Ha! I was joking, but implying that $200 for that saw is an exceptional deal for a good one. "Good" ones go for $350+ easily.
