i have just a quick question

so i am doing alot of SRT climbing but occasionally do DRT split tail. i am buying a rope tonight and im stuck between Yale XTC 16 fire and the 7/16 24 strand blaze. i know they both have about the same breaking strength but does it really make a huge differnce in hardware? does a 7/16 slide better in foot acenders?

I don't use either of those ropes, but my foot ascender does slide a little bit better on my 7/16 Velocity than on my fuzzy old 1/2" rope.

Yes, the 7/16 should perform better with your ascenders.
