I did some work for a friend of my father's a few months ago... all I could do was pruning and small removals at the time because of a party that they were having shortly after. We had agreed though that after the party... and then after the leaves came off the trees we would take down 2 descent sized locust trees near the house, take away the wood, and that would be that. Well the guy calls the house the other day, says come on over we're gonna mark some trees... I figured, what the heck, maybe 2 more that were in crappy shape. We marked out a GOOD 15 trees... wood has to go, but I figured the chips could be blown into the woods. Well yesterday I went with my helper and we put about 10 trees on the ground, no chipping or raking... just pile it up. Then today we had 1 more guy come in and we chipped all day. Put at least another 10 trees on the ground today. We figured we'd have to come back on Sunday to finish up all the chipping. Finished by 2:45... and all day long the guy was adding on more trees. Monday I go back with a friend and his front end loader to take out the wood and do the raking. All day we figured we were behind the ball, but we'd look at a watch, and it was very early... half the job done by 10:30, hard trees done by 1:00... tacked on another couple small ones, packed and gone by 2:45.
