i tested the compression on by 610 and it only reads 85 psi.

it runs fine even when it is warm but it will not restart if shut down warm.

just wondering what it should read as i don't have service manual for this saw.

What you have,is a typical 610. :) How well I know.If you have spark, when it's hot,you have carb problems.Rebuild the carb!If you lost spark,a new module is around $25 to $30.It is possible that the saw has packed a bunch of dust around the coil/fins area, and is causing a problem, due to the fact it;s a solid state ignition and heat can be a problem.

My old PM610, registered 100# cold. never checked it warm, but would love to still have it.
