Service/Repair Manual for an 028 AV Super. Anybody want to sell me one ?

By the time I'm done with this saw, she'll be overhauled, I'll be broke, and I'll tell my wife to scream at everybody on this board and NOT ME.

Have you tried ebay? I just found one for my 056 yesterday, and the guy said he's got a bunch more, and to just ask him. Some guy from Ontario.

Ebay is the way to go anything and everything is on Ebay. I still havent figured out why chainsaws are so popular on ebay though, it is tough if you are trying to buy one, even blow ups are selling top dollar, I guess I just didnt know how many of us there was around!

Stihl Manuels.

Hi guys. I sent Stihl USA an email and they sent my a copy of a manuel for my 08 Super (Operator's/IPL) no charge. I asked it they might have the manuels in PDF format. The fellow said that they were woiking on putting all there manuels in PDF format, but the project wasn't completed as yet. Drop them an email and I would imagine that they would be more than glad to send you a manuel. Lewis.

If you go the ebay route, make sure what you're getting. I've seen guys listing owner's manuals, as service manuals, and selling them at Service manual prices. I got the owner's manual for my 056 direct from Stihl, but had to buy the service manual on ebay. Stihl said the service manuals are for dealers only...but they're out there.

That's right. Stihl will send out an Owner's Manual, but not the Service Manual. I'm sure they don't prefer customers fixing all of their problems at home.
