I hope yall are happy!
I made my pickup this morning, didnt do too bad...I dont think.
Got an 036, minus the cover and muffler. And with a badly scored piston and rings...dont know the condition of the jug yet, but the piston looks as bd as Ive ever seen. Saw is pretty clean though.
Got an 025 that runs, complete, minus air filter element and bar/chain and the clip that holds the clutch on.
Got an 018C? Saw needs the fuel line, and a brake handle. The bore looks like brand new, rings ook like new, piston doesnt have a scratch. But the main bearings sound bad enough to make even the toughest man cringe.
Got another Stihl, smaller one I think, didnt get to look at it.
AND I got the 031AV. Its all there and in great shape, minus the recoil assembly. Got the flywheel guard, but not the assembly that holds the recoil parts.
Got the Homelite 150, great snappy spark, runs on choke only, but runs.
The Poulans were only good for parts, but Ive got alot of great parts saw in them. 2 were new Strato-charged wild things, both were lean seized during breakin. The other 3 were just regular poulans, again, just parts saws.
NON-2 stroke stuff I got was 3 Tecumseh OHV utilty engines, 3/4" straight keyed cranks,
1 is complete, one needs a carb, and air filter, and one needs carb, intake, muffler and alot of work.
The one that needed the work, I have pulled down to the bare block, looks to only have a few hours on it, crosshatch still on complete bore, rings not seated, stil showing 0.005" ring gap. Case was full of water. No big deal, Ill make a race engine out of it...
Any ideas on the STIHLS guys?
