So I went and bought a I-phone, had no idea what I was missing! There is several apps that will be of great use to me in the field.
Leaf Snap is fun, and so far pretty accurate. I downloaded Dirrs app for 15 bucks, the whole book! AWESOME. Have wood calculators, height measuring, consultation apps, business form apps, the list goes on. Police scanner, tree mapping, Angies list, background checks, etc. I can pop up the Doppler radar in seconds. This thing is great!

Isn't that the one that big brother can track your every move? I'm getting ready to jump on board and get one, just not sure which to get, didn't you have a droid before? Isn't that a smartphone too?
I can't even get the camera to work on those things, I'm getting behind in the times. Got my daughter a ipad2 and haven't even got to touch it yet but it looks like it does some cool things.

Mine is the newest phone. One up from the DroidX. I-phone is 3G. We use Verizon here.
Jeff

i got the thunderbolt when it first came out and its a buggy POS. Love it sometimes hate it most of the time. Not as durable as my old droid eris as the screen is already busted. Download the 4g toggle on/off app it will save you a ton of battery life.

IMO the smart phones and ipads and all that high tec #### is worhtless to me. I have a cell phone and a ipod touch and thats as far as im going. Id rather spend my hard earned money on a gun fishing pole or chainsaw than blowing it on a item that wont last for over ten years. And the funniest thing of it is- I'M in the generation that is hooked into all this ####:msp_rolleyes:

To each his own. For many of us these devices help to simplify our busy lives. Some of us would have a hard time carrying on our daily routines without them.

I have to say that one of my favorite apps is the police scanner. I can listen to wherever! Chicago is nuts!, like the tv shows!

Got one as well in May, they are convient and can do pretty much everything on it! I am getting almost more requests through my website via e-mail now then the good old regular phone! So it's nice to get back to people quickly.
